IEEE
The inception of the IEEE Student Branch (IEEE SB) of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology was established in 1991.This is an active and vibrant branch. Every year the branch is added up with active student members, who play a major role in building up the branch and the quality of activities. The branch was started with 21 members. As an add-on, the branch is awarded as the 5th largest branch in the world, 2nd largest in the Asia pacific region and again received largest membership in the year 2012 and 2013. In addition, the branch has received certificate of appreciation for organizing activities towards advancement of IEEE and Engineering professions. IEEE student branch consistently organizes technical events like workshops, hands on training and special lectures in cutting edge technologies.

IEI STUDENT BRANCH
The Institution of Engineers India (IEI) Students Branch at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai is one of the authorized five student chapters approved by “The Institutions of Engineers (India)”, Kolkata. The primary activities of the IEI Student Branch is to carryout spectrum of technical activities and functions such as dissemination and updating of Engineering and technological knowledge and diffusion among its members, the information on all matters affecting engineering, through Technical Activities, such as seminars, symposia, continuing education courses, workshops, conventions, conferences at both national and international levels. It also provides access to R & D activities and Engineering practices through Engineering and technological disciplines. It focuses on new developments, techniques, products, processes and other issues of topical interest.

ISTE
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology ISTE Faculty and Students Chapter was inaugurated in 2018 .The major objective of the ISTE are; providing quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity. To assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organizations and in providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills and personality. Right from the inception the ISTE Chapter of the institution has been actively involved in conducting various events.

CSI is the Largest and Oldest Professional Body of our Nation. It has 8 Regions, more than 80 Chapters, 500 Student Branches, 1,00,000 members (Institutional, Individual and Students). Sathyabama Student branch bearing membership number 102311 was established under Chennai Chapter in 2009. The mission of CSI is to facilitate research, inspire, nurture and assist new entrants to integrate into the IT community, learning and Career. Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology CSI student chapter actively involved in conducting activities related to computing and information technology.
