Dr.S.Packialakshmi, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. Her research interest includes Water Resources Development and Management, Advanced groundwater hydrology, Hydrogeology, Water Quality Modeling and Management, Socio- environmental impacts on Water Resources Water and Waste water treatment. She obtained South Asian Waters fellowship (SAWA) from Wageningen University, Govt. of Netherlands for her doctoral research (2008- 2012). She received Fellowship under Mevlana Teaching Mobility Programme from Turkey Higher Education Council for Two weeks Teaching Programme at Karabuk University, Turkey during the year 2018. She presented her research papers in many national and international conferences and published more than 30 research papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences. She published one book on Groundwater Resources and 3 Book Chapters in in the field of water treatment options. She is currently guiding 6 Ph.D. students. She has guided 6 Post Graduate projects and 26 Under Graduate projects. Her teaching interests include: Fluid Mechanics, Applied Hydraulics, Water Resources Engineering, Groundwater Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering Construction Materials, Reinforced Concrete Structures, and Environmental Engineering and Solid Waste Management.
